Real accidents of vehicles with EST Crash Buffers

1. Accident diagnosis and accident research

The use of EST Crash Buffers does not only reduce the consequences and damages of accidents, it also provides entirely new methods of accident diagnosis. The degree of deformation of the Crash Buffers indicates to the amount of the absorbed energy, and informs whether all of the collision energy has been absorbed, or only a part of it. Important information is even obtained when the Crash Buffers were not deployed in a moderately severe impact. Valuable conclusions can be drawn upon the collision event (scenario) and the continued usability of the involved vehicles.

Therefore, after an accident, it is possible to decide much more confidently and quickly than previously what to do with the involved vehicles. Of course, those vehicles where the EST Crash Buffers could completely absorb the collision energy can be restored much more quickly than previously. Often, special examinations (such as the complete measurement of the vehicle structure) can be reduced.

EST seeks to gather as much practical expertise as possible in this newly developing field, which can be made available for future accident diagnosis and help facilitate the procedures after an accident. Therefore, EST is ready to assist its customers immediately and directly with accident analysis, upon request. Of course, in this process, confidentiality is ensured towards our customers and other parties involved in the accident.

Subsequently, we show selected images of real accidents. Please understand that this selection is limited, as not all of our customers agree to publish information on accidents.
